Personnel Access Control
Personnel access control solutions are designed for organisations that wish to manage access to buildings and facilities by personnel, members and/or visitors. Nortech’s wide range of products offers a choice of solutions for each Access Control requirement, regardless of its size or complexity.
Members of staff, visitors etc. may be issued access passes, which they can present to a reader at an entrance or exit to enable them to proceed. Alternatively, they may be issued with a PIN code that they must enter into a keypad at the entrance or exit. The use of biometric readers is a further option.
Nortech’s Personnel Access Control systems can be integrated into facilities management systems that provide environmental control, CCTV, etc., and to human resources management systems such as Time and Attendance. Access can be controlled according to responsibility, staff/guest status, membership level, etc. Access can also be restricted according to the time of day, the day of the week, whether it’s a workday or holiday, etc.
Windows based control systems such as Norpass2 offer centralised management with features such as time and attendance reporting, event reporting, storage of cardholder information etc. For simpler installations, there is a choice of cost-effective standalone solutions.
Nortech offers a wide range of access control technologies that can be combined to suit the needs of each application. These include proximity cards and badges, smart cards, magnetic stripe cards, keypads and biometric reading devices. Personnel Access Control can be provided as part of a fully integrated system that also provides Vehicle Access Control, Visitor Access Control etc.
