Vehicle Access Control
Vehicle access control solutions are designed for organisations that wish to restrict vehicular access to authorised vehicles only, for reasons of privacy, security and site management.
Vehicles may be fitted with transmitters or tags that are automatically detected at a physical barrier. Alternatively, each driver may be issued with an access pass, which is presented to a reader at the vehicle entry/exit, or issued with a PIN code, which is entered into a keypad at the vehicle entry/exit. If the vehicle is authorised to pass according to pre-determined criteria, the controller will open a physical barrier (e.g. barriers, gates etc.).
Vehicle Access Control can be included as part of a Windows based access control system such as Norpass3. Access can be controlled according to the time of day, the day of the week, whether it’s a workday or holiday, etc. in combination with the cardholder’s details. Centralised management of multiple sites is also available.
