CRC220 Online Reader Controller
The CRC220 is a modular reader controller that forms part of an access management system when linked to a PC running Norpass3 Access Control Management Software via either TCP/IP or RS485.
Up to 4 card readers, keypads, RF receivers, etc. can be controlled from a single CRC220 package. It is ideal for controlling access points such as doors, turnstiles and vehicle barriers by validating cards, key fobs, vehicle tags, PINs, etc. presented via reader interfaces.
It supports both Clock & Data and Wiegand interface formats as well as random or sequential card numbering. It can be used to control access via 2 doors/barriers and provide local anti-passback control. It also supports a range of managed access control features.
Each 2-reader controller module can store up to 20,000 card numbers. It locally validates cards presented to the readers and provides programmable door control outputs via voltage free relay contacts.
Users can configure and manage the CRC220 remotely from Norpass3. Once in service, updates to the system such as card validity are automatically updated via the network connection. Records of all events taking place at the readers controlled by the CRC220 are uploaded to Norpass3 over the network connection as the events occur.
Several packages are available to match individual requirements. Up to 4 readers/keypads can be managed from one enclosure, which incorporates a power supply unit with optional battery backed-up. More compact 2-reader units are also available for use with external power supply units.
